Deena Duarte ’99 will begin her term as President of the Alumni Association Board of Directors for the 2025-2026 board year, starting June 1, 2025. Additionally, one new member will join the board for the upcoming term, replacing one outgoing member. These changes were recommended by the Alumni Board Executive and Membership committees and approved by the full board on April 26, 2025.
We thank our outgoing member and welcome our new member, as well as extend heartfelt thanks to outgoing Alumni Board President Ken Wheeler ’10 and the 2024-2025 committee chairs for their contributions and dedication to McMurry.

Alumni Association Board of Directors Information
Dedicated to the advancement of McMurry University, the Alumni Association Board of Directors supports the University’s strategic initiatives and the ongoing relationships between alumni and their continued involvement with the University.
The Alumni Board consists of 30 members who serve for three (3) year terms. New members are elected annually at the regular spring meeting.
